The agreement, in the shortest form that is still true.

Stackpeek is operated by Stackpeek L.C., registered in Andorra. Using the extension or this website means these terms apply to you. They are governed by Andorran law.

1. What Stackpeek is

A Chrome extension that looks at a Shopify storefront you are already viewing and reports the theme, the apps and the tracking pixels it can identify, and that can export the store's public product catalogue to a CSV file. It is operated by Stackpeek L.C., Andorra.

2. It is free, and there is no account

Everything described above is free to use and requires no account, no payment and no sign-up (the one exception is the optional email signup to be notified when paid features ship). We may introduce paid features later; if we do, they will come with their own terms and nothing described on this page will start costing money without notice.

3. Using it reasonably

Use Stackpeek through the browser, as a person. Do not automate it, script it, or drive it in bulk against other people's storefronts. Do not resell access to it, take it apart to rebuild it, or use it to break any law that applies to you.

4. Detection is a best guess, not a certificate

Fingerprint matching is inference from a public page. It can be wrong. It can miss an app that is present, and it can name one that has been removed but left its scripts behind. Weaker app matches are shown marked unverified precisely so you can judge them yourself, and that marking is a real signal, not a formality. It only distinguishes matches from each other, though: when every app match in a scan is weak, none of them is marked. Nothing Stackpeek reports is a warranty that a store does or does not run a given theme, app or pixel. Do not make a decision that matters on a single reading without checking it.

5. What you export is your responsibility

The CSV export reads a store's public product feed — the same /products.json any visitor can open — and writes it to a file on your machine. We never receive it. What you do with that file afterwards is entirely yours: copyright in product photography and descriptions belongs to whoever made them, and the fact that data is publicly reachable does not make every use of it lawful. You are responsible for your own compliance.

6. What belongs to us

The extension, this website, the fingerprint database and the app and theme catalogue behind them are ours. Using Stackpeek gives you permission to use it, not to own any part of it.

7. Shopify, and other people's names

Stackpeek is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Shopify Inc. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. Every other product, theme, app and company name that appears in Stackpeek belongs to its owner, and appears only to say what was detected.

8. No warranties

Stackpeek is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose you have in mind, except where the law says otherwise.

9. Limits on what we owe you

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost opportunity, lost data — arising from using Stackpeek or from being unable to use it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changing or stopping the service

We may add features, remove them, or stop offering Stackpeek. If we withdraw something you rely on, we will say so on this site rather than let you discover it.

11. Changing these terms

When these terms change, the date at the bottom of this page changes and the new version applies from then. We will not change them retroactively.

12. If part of this does not hold up

If a court finds one clause of these terms unenforceable where you live, that finding does not take the rest down with it. The remaining clauses still apply, and we will treat the unenforceable one as narrowed just enough to be valid, or removed, whichever keeps closest to what it was trying to do.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Principality of Andorra, and the courts of Andorra have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring proceedings there.
